Buprenorphine Treatment
Buprenorphine (Subutex, Suboxone) Treatment
Unlike some companies, we don’t limit you to a “one size fits all” approach, and we are committed to being more than a traditional "methadone clinic." We’re here to help you find the solution that works for you. Individuals with lower tolerances and shorter addiction histories may be appropriate for buprenorphine. Some known name brands of buprenorphine include Suboxone, Subutex, Zubsolv, and Bunavail. Unlike methadone which is a full opioid, buprenorphine is a partial opioid with a "ceiling effect." The use of buprenorphine in the treatment of opioid use disorder was approved in 2000, so it is much newer than methadone. That said, buprenorphine is coming in a close second to methadone in terms of outcomes, at least for those who don't require higher dose maintenance.
Take-home doses of medication are more flexible with buprenorphine than they are with methadone, so the physician is able to work with each patient in determining a clinic schedule that is appropriate based on a number of factors. With favorable drug screens and engagement in counseling, most buprenorphine patients can attend as little as weekly by the end of their first month in treatment.
Buprenorphine treatment ranges from $15 to $22 each day depending on necessary dosage and medication formulation. These daily bundled rates include everything: The physician appointment, counseling, assessment, labs, the medication itself... everything.
